The Drum Anchor is a practical drum rug accessory designed to help stop bass drums, cymbal stands, pedals, racks, and other drum hardware from creeping or sliding during performance.
It works by attaching firmly to compatible drum rugs and carpeted surfaces using strong industrial hook Velcro. Once positioned on the rug, the Drum Anchor creates a physical stopping point that helps keep your gear in place while you play. This is especially useful for drummers who hit hard, play on smooth stages, use lightweight hardware, or constantly find their bass drum or stands slowly moving forward during a set.
The Drum Anchor is also designed to act as a memory lock for your setup. Once you find the exact position for your bass drum, stands, pedals, or rack legs, you can leave the Drum Anchor attached to your drum rug so your gear lines up in the same spot every time. This helps speed up setup, improves consistency, and makes it easier to rebuild your kit layout at gigs, rehearsals, tour and recording sessions. No more gaffa on your rug !!
For the best results, the Drum Anchor is designed for specific carpet-style drum rugs and compatible carpeted surfaces. It relies on the hook Velcro gripping into the fibres of the rug. It will not work properly on Persian rugs, shaggy carpets, very smooth rugs, rubber-backed mats with no exposed fibres, or carpet surfaces where hook Velcro does not grip strongly.
A simple way to test your rug is to press a strip of hook Velcro firmly onto the surface. If the hook Velcro sticks strongly and resists being pulled sideways, the Drum Anchor should work well. If the Velcro peels away easily, barely grabs, or slides across the rug, that rug is not suitable for the Drum Anchor.
